Yin yoga is a therapeutic practice that is an amazing complement to flow yoga and high-intensity workouts (like running, triathlons, etc.). It's also great for people whose bodies are stiff from sitting at a desk all day. Unlike my flow offerings, in Yin, you hold seated and supine poses for 3-6 minutes, using pillows and props to set yourself up comfortably. This allows you to really sink into the poses, allowing the muscles room to stretch and release tension. You'll want to grab all your yummy props for this practice: 2 sets of blocks, pillows, bolsters, blankets, eye pillows.
